Chocolate & Mom....good things.

We were invited to have an Open House at Peterbrooke Chocolatier this past week. Dot & Richard are two wonderful people and they were so gracious when I arrived with all my "stuff"! The AROMA in that store is amazing....think: Willy Wonka's chocolate factory.

This is the chocolate tempering station or "sink full of goodness", as I like to refer to it. It keeps the chocolate at the perfect temperature for dipping things like potato chips, pretzels and graham crackers. (I did mention the smell, right?)

We set up our wares..... ...and we had a nice turnout. There was wine and chocolate truffle cake, in case you missed it.

And these beautiful apples are always there. Some of this came home with me.....
I also bought these adorable molded letters to spell "MOM". I ended up using it as the cake decoration for the devils food cake I made from scratch. Results: Cake, just ok. Icing, fabulous! Decoration: Adorable! Mom: Happy.

And this is a random shot of my brother...my friends don't belive he exists, but here he is in my kitchen! We tried to get some family photos, but we were having technical difficulties...this is the only one my mom got! Finally, a photo of our little dog, Beauregard. He is 15 years old and it shows. He freaks out when the flash of the camera goes off, but I managed to get this one last week outside.

Your brother...HE'S REAL??? I thought he was just a made up guy, like an imaginary friend from childhood that you haven't been able to part with yet. Hmmm. A REAL brother. Cool, Kimbalina. :->
