Do you know Pinterest?
If you haven't visited this amazing website, then I encourage you to do so.
When you have three hours to kill.
Because you will be on there that long.
So, if you don't have three hours of time, we're here for you.
We're going to occasionally feature fun projects, recipes, decorating tips, etc.
that we've found on Pinterest.
This simple little project caught my eye a few months ago.
So, I grabbed some fun fabrics and took the pinking shears to them...
I used about a half yard of 5 different fabrics and cut them into strips
approximately 5 inches by 1 1/2 inches.
Then, I sat in front of the tv one evening for about 2 hours.
Seriously, this is not rocket science. Cut. Tie. I didn't even double knot them.
The gals at the store helped make two more, so we have a total of three to decorate
our windows and cash wrap area. My pictures don't really show how stinkin cute they are in the store. We are a little leery of leaving them plugged in all night (you know, commercial building/fire- not good), but as soon as it starts getting dark early, they will really be cute!
So there you go... an EASY and fun project. Think of the possibilities- birthday parties,
Halloween, July 4th... so many fun themes you could make! Let us know if you make one...
we'd love to see it!

I love this! Too cute. I follow you on Pintrest but haven't run across this craft idea yet. Can't wait to try it. One question though... did you tie the fabric to a string of Christmas lights? It looks like you did but I wasn't sure.
ReplyDeleteAngie- YES, Christmas lights... I guess I didn't mention that in my tutorial- so sorry! It's such an easy process with great results. If you make one, we'd love to see a photo!
ReplyDeleteWas in your shop this morning and had to come find the instructions that you were telling me about.... LOVE this. I'm going to have to try it - maybe across our mantel... thanks for the great idea!!
