My daily to-do list is one of my most important tools. It keeps me sane and focused during my day... I get interrupted about a zillion times with phone calls, customers, etc., and sometimes I forget what I'm supposed to be working on. It also keeps me motivated- because nothing gives me more satisfaction than crossing things off the list!
I am a very visual gal, so I can't function with a list on my phone, but if this works for you- great! I believe in whatever works. I recently discovered Evernote-it's a free app that helps you organize your thoughts, bookmarked websites, photos, etc. and it syncs on all your devices-awesome!
I've only played with it a bit, but I think it has excellent potential for large projects, future ideas, etc. It also has personal applications like recipes, fitness goals, etc. I'm definitely going to dive in.
My personal to-do list is a notepad I designed myself.
It's a fresh sheet everyday, which I like. I like a "clean slate" to start each morning. It also allows for some precious "me" items, like making sure I drink water-why is this so hard? If you like this style, they are available here on our website.
Whether you choose electronic or paper, I think it's important to have a list.
We're giving away one of our To-Do List notepads....simply leave a comment letting us know YOUR favorite "get it done" plan!!! What works for you and how do you manage your day?

I start with a new sheet of plain lined paper every morning. Write my goals for the day, the phone calls to be made. As things get done I cross them off. If they don't get finished then they go on the next days sheet of paper. My sheet is always on the fridge so I see it all day long.
ReplyDeleteLauren- I am the same way, but I HATE to move things to the next day! It sounds like we have similar habits... whatever works, right?
ReplyDeleteI've had Evernote on my phone for a while now but have never taken the time to learn how to use it. I'm hoping to find a good tutorial online and use that as my "get it done" handy helper. Especially since I got an iPad for Christmas.....no excuse not to have an organized to-do list!
ReplyDeleteAmy- if I find a good tutorial, I will let you know. I think it could be a good thing. :)
ReplyDeleteHey Kim! I have Evernote on my iPad, but I don't use it( need to learn more about it!!!). I use the free Grocery List app on my iPhone. You can make different lists for different tasks/ places/etc. And that way when I'm out & about, I have my list of what I need to do(ex. What to pick up @ the grocery store). It's very easy to use... Or I wouldn't be using it! ;)
ReplyDeleteStacie- I'll have to check out the Grocery List app...I am always forgetting something while in the store!
ReplyDeleteI love lists! And I know a few friends who love lists too! Great notepad.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Melanie! Send them over for a chance to win!
ReplyDeleteI love a good list, in fact, I have paper and pens in quite a few "key" places (make up drawer, nightstand, lamp table, kitchen, car, and at work). I like the idea of your organized list by categories!
ReplyDeleteI agree, there is nothing more satisfying than crossing off items on a list and starting fresh the next day!
Yes, a notepad also lives on my nightstand- it has let me sleep on more than one occasion after writing something down that I don't want to forget!
ReplyDeleteI'm a list girl too! Anything to aid mom's sanity is a bonus! Love your pad :)
